Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) Requirements |
Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) is the primary authority responsible for crane safety regulations in Qatar. Key requirements include mandatory inspection of all cranes and lifting equipment before use, valid load test certificates not older than 12 months, operator competency cards confirming current certification, and compliance with Qatar’s fire and safety code for cranes operating near structures.
All cranes deployed on Qatar projects must carry a current QCDD-compliant inspection record. This is a site access requirement — not a courtesy.
